Totally NBR- my knitting video hit 20,000 views!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jhCV4ZTLrA

I know it's not such an exciting video- but I got an e mail today that youtube was interested in putting ads alongside my video and that I could earn money from that!  I know it probably would not amount to much- but I still was excited to have broken that 20,000 views mark! (I hate the fact though that I had an awful sinus infection when I made it and my voice is really nasal congested and I'm mouthbreathing! aaargh!)

By the way- the ad account isn't set up yet- so I'm not going to make any money if you click on the vid... I'm not spamming you bumpies- just sharing some joy!

  • I can't check it out while I'm at work but I will when I get home.  I learned how to knit by watching you tube.  Anytime I need to learn a new stitch that's where I go.  I wonder if I've watched your video. I can't wait to go home and check.  Yes, I'm a dork and I admit it but I love to knit and crochet.

  • i'm not a link-clicker, but congrats!  BTW, I am thrilled about starting to knit baby items.  I just bought "Wacky Baby Knits" which has the cutest slippers and Halloween costumes.  My poor baby doesn't even know that a lot of dress-up is coming.
  • Nice! I am an avid knitter and knit the same way. I actually had to switch due to some sports related shoulder trauma in college. I was so happy when I changed to continental and verse continental. much faster adn saves the shoulders!

    Congrats!

  • Yay!  I get so excited when I find other gals that knit.  I'm not sure why, I just do.  :)
  • I'm that way too- so I'm happy to hear that my litle knitting joy didn't just go "echo...echo...echo.." out into the void.

Yesterday it was so funny- my mom wanted to show me this adorable baby sweater she found online from a french company- (priced in euros...) and I just rolled my eyes- I was thinking she must have felt so fancy to imagine she was actually shopping in a Paris boutique... but I had to let her down by saying, "Mom... you can buy this baby ANYTHING but a store bought sweater... you know I have a NEED to knit.

This is a blog post about a sweater I designed and knit for a friend's baby girl... it's one of the most complicated pieces I've made.  I am hoping this baby is a girl because my daughter wants a sister so bad (we have 2 boys and a girl) Yesterday was our big ultrasound- but we are die-hard team greenies... never the less- the US tech messed up and said "she" a few times... I hope she wasn't just trying to throw us off.
