Prednisone during pg - anybody has experience?

I have to take prednisone during my pg for my Crohn's flare up. I've been taking it since 7 weeks and now slowly tapering down. Anybody has any experiences to share with having to take prednisone during pregnancy? Its not desirable thing to do as there are no studies indicating that its particularly safe, but you gotta do what you gotta do unfortunately... 

I'm very concerned for my baby, esp since I'm taking it during 1st tri.

Not related to Crohn's but - I started it today for my asthma but it will only be for a few days.  The doc said the risks of the medication are minimal compared to the risks of poor oxygen intake.

Also - the only thing he cautioned me on, was the fact that steriods affect blood sugars and I was a gestational diabetic with my DD.  I am not allowed to have any simple sugars.

I hope you feel better soon.  They suspected I had Crohns a few years ago, and have been monitored since.

I have been on 100mg od prednisone since October (before I even knenw I was pregnant) and my baby is doing great.
