Update on my ER experience last night!
First of all I want to thank my labor buddy, Aerobaby, for texting me into late in the night--and for updating for me! She's the best!
Ok, so I hadn't felt Nathaniel move in a about a day and a half, and I didn't realize this until on the way home from class last night around 8:15ish. I was also experienced some cramping, which I figured was normal but I just wanted to check--so I called my doctor, she called me back, and told me to "RUSH" to the ER--that I'm 26 weeks and need to be feeling him every day now. DH and I went to the ER and were directed right up to OB triage. They monitored Nathaniel's heart rate for 1 hour, did some urine testing, and asked me a million questions. They gave me a kick count sheet and instructed me that from now on, even though I'm 26 weeks, I need to start counting my kicks. ALSO, they told me that Nathaniel's due date is probably off--which is why he's measuring big. They said his heartrate and reaction to my changing heartbeat were "very advanced for 26 weeks"--and the OB nurse said she thought he was closer to 32 weeks. (?!) My OB will get all of that information and test results and will hopefully change my date based on my 3rd tri ultrasound (but who knows). Either way, it was nice to know where we're going to deliver--the hospital staff is fantastic, and it was exciting to be there! (We hadn't taken a tour yet).
ANYWAY it was a really, really late night! Thanks to everyone who showed concern--I really appreciate it!
p.s. We have our 3/4D ultrasound tonight as a reward for all the medical craziness we've had to deal with the last several weeks---we're so excited!
Thanks everyone!
Re: Follow up on my ER trip last night! :0)
Glad to hear everything is ok!
WOW!! Well I'm glad everything is ok, and that is crazy that he might be closer to 32 weeks. That means you might be having your baby boy in 2 months.. Let us know how your 3/4D US goes.. GL.
Thanks everyone! :0) Yeesh, I know, if my date is really off then UH OH, I'm not ready enough!!
What a big difference! Was he measuring ahead before now??
So glad you're ok and that the hospital was good to you. And that you're going for the 3D! Exciting.
You updated much better then I did!
I'm so glad things are OK with you and baby NJ! I was so worried last night for you i had a nightmare about me going into labor! lol
Wow, that's a big difference in due dates!
I had an episode of decreased fetal movement with DD too ~ scary at the time but everything was OK. I'm glad you like where you're going to be delivering!
WOW. I can see how this can happen though... I had my BIG U/S at 19 wks, and don't have another U/S scheduled for...ever, really. Until they need me to do my 3rd Tri screening...a lot can change in that many weeks, but i'm SOO glad everyone is doing fine!
Also, makes me think about doing my kick counts more often...

Glad to hear everything is okay hun!
My docs thought my EDD was off with my son, and maybe it was. But we never changed it. I was induced at 38w exactly due to pre-e and he was 9.5lbs

Glad everything is okay! thats crazy about a possible change in your due dates. your doctor told you you measure big for your dates? they said the same thing about me but i had a dating u/s saying my dates were correct. and i've since had another u/s (the big one) but havent gotten the results back from that yet. but the 2 doctors i've seen both say i measure big.. hope that doesnt mean im due earlier then expected.
