Head Cold or Congestion

So I've been sneezing for days... thought it was early Spring allergies. But I woke up today totally congested, teary eyes, and a bit of a sore throat. When I get allergies in the Spring my throat itches so I have been "itching it" and I thought that was why it hurt... but now I cant figure out if its a head cold or just congestion. I'm supposed to bring dinner to a friend who just had a little one last week and I was dying to hold him but now I dont know if I should be able to.

 Who has some input ?

Yeah girl I have talked to a lot of bumpies on here who have the same symptoms, I have dubbed it mom 2 B allergies I have the same thing it sucks but my OB said my prescription nasal spray, claritin and Robitussin are ok. Check with your OB GL

It sort of sounds like hay fever.  Try OTC Loratadine/Claritin or Zyrtec/Cetrizine.  Both are 100% safe in pregnancy.  I take Xyzal which is a relative of Zyrtec, on a daily basis and my OB almost jumped at me when mentioned it, telling me to keep on taking it.  I get chronic hives from my stupid allergies.    However, these  drugs are NOT ok during nursing.  I don't know what I'm going to do! I can take benadryl, but it'll make me sleepy and may hinder my milk production.  Currently I have a sinus infection...so off to the doc's with me, for them to tell me there's nothing they can do.
