Which travel system?

I'm wondering which travel system you ladies registered for or purchased?

I want to register for mine (either Target or BRU) and am leaning towards Graco because of their reviews.  Anyone mind sharing why they chose their specific system and the price?  TIA!

Re: Which travel system?

  • I got the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the Chicco Trevi stroller.  I liked this stroller because it folds up like an umbrella stroller (just a really big umbrella stroller).

We loved using the carseat with the stroller when my DD was teeny-tiny.  But once she got bigger, I figured we'd use the Maclaren more, but we actually use the Trevi more.   It reclines all the way and is comfortable for her (and has cupholder/snacktray).

Cons:  sunshade not quite long enough (you can buy an extension for $10), basket isn't huge, and no parent cup holders.

  • We have the Chicco Cortina system and we have always loved it.

Stroller: adjustable handle bar for tall/short parents, folds UP and not down to the ground (so you're not always bending down to pick it up), good size basket, full reclining seat for baby, the car seat clicks in so easily, snack tray for dc, parent tray for you, feels more durable than most other strollers I looked at (but this was almost 4 years ago now), steers well

Car seat: top rated for safety, again, it feels more durable and substantial than other car seats, I feel it it was more padded/comfy than other seats, clicks into the base super easily, the base is installed very easily.

The only con I've ever come up with is that that carseat is a little heavier than others I've picked up. But I credit that to it being more durable :)

When i bought it, the system was $280. It is still in great condition 4 years and two babies/kids later.

  • I registered for the Graco passage travel system in lowery at Target.  I didn't want to ask for a $300 system and I like the style and features of this one.  It folds standing up which I like and it isn't very heavy compared to larger ones at BRU.
  • Mine has to be a jogger stroller. Most of them are very dark colors. Oh well.
