Why don't men listen to me?

No, I'm not talking about MY man, I'm talking about my Best Friend! Yes, he is a man, known him since I was 12...

I told him, it was a bad idea to marry the girl he was going to marry, I supported him, but did give my opinion on her. I ended up being right, when he was sent to Iraq she only go in touch with him to find out when the money was coming, and never, ever sent him a care package or anything. Once they got divorced, he was so thankful to be done with her.... (Note: I have known her for about 6 years, she is a close friends little sister)

Then... He decided that they should be friends, I told him to be careful because she wasn't doing good (financially) since the divorce... But of course, still supportive... Then he told me he had slept with her and he was nervous about it because he was beginning to think she was trying to get pregnant... I told him he had control of that too, and to stop sleeping with her, or a baby was likely to happen, especially if he was unsure if she was taking birth control..

I get a text today, that just reads... "Guess what?" I already knew... She is pregnant. He is freaking out. He actually said, he wasn't sure how long she had been "consuming" the baby, LOL!

It's hard to be supportive, but I know I have to be, I was suspicious on why she started e-mailing me questions and Myspacing me, which is weird because she has always hated me. Now he is asking that I talk to her about some of this stuff because she doesn't know anything about it.. She smokes 2 packs a day and takes very poor care of herself, I hope I can do this without telling her off and upsetting everyone.

None of this would of happened if he had listened to me...

omg i knw how u feel.i have a bf and hes a man to.and he doesnt listen.i think u sttill have to be supportive for him. and try to be there for him.and as for the girl well all i can say good luck and i hope she stops smoking .wish u and ur friend.the best.

I don't know how you guys have DH and BF who don't listen...men. One is enough for me so my BF is a female. I have a ton of bro's and BIL though so I can relate...
