Shower question - please give your opinion ...

So, I saw a "Mommy to be" sash for a baby shower and I also saw a "Grandmother to be" sash for the baby shower too.

 What do you guys think about the Grandmother and Great Grandmother at the shower wearing them? 

Is the shower just to honor the "Mommy to be" or is it something nice to have the Grandmothers wear the sash too?

Sorry....I think a sash for anyone is dorky.  If you *have* to have one, I say have one for the mom-to-be only.  It's HER shower.

I think its totally up to you, its your shower.  Personally I wouldnt want to wear a sash and certainly wouldnt want my mom and def not MIL to wear one.  But AGAIN its is YOUR shower so you get to decide:)

I think it's kind of a waste of money.. everyone going to the showers probably knows who you guys are. It could be cute I guess, but wouldn't do it at mine.

I think its nice to recoinize who all the important people are, especially since alot of the people may only be familiar with one side of your family, atleast thats the case for us. I think they are fun, a little cheesy, but fun and baby showers are supposed to be fun. Go for it I say!

I agree. YOU'RE the mom-to-be, not them, no matter ho hard they try.

I like the sash idea for bridal showers because it easily identifies the bride-to-be while going out for a night on the town.  I would think it would be pretty easy for someone to identify a mom-to-be at her own baby shower, therefore making the sash seem a little pointless.
