I'm curious to see how many babies flipped or were successfully flipped in time for a vaginal delivery if they were breech at 35 weeks.
I know there's plenty of time for my baby to flip (and I've been looking into spinningbabies.com and such to help her along). My OB doesn't want to do a version on me since I have a low lying anterior placenta and have had third trimester bleeding (due to CPP at the time).
Re: If your baby was breech at 35 weeks . . . [clicky poll]
DD wasn't discovered to be breech until the day before the due date. The external cephalic version was not successful so it was a c-section for me.
I should have asked for an ultrasound at 36 weeks when I thought she may be breech. The version may have been successful then because she was smaller.
If you do it there is about a 50% chance of it being successful (worth it to try, IMO).
My ds was transverse (sideways). He was still sideways at my 37 week appointment. The day before my 38 week appointment, I went in for a massage, with a licensed prenatal massage therapist. She worked on relaxing my muscles so that he could turn (she did NOT attempt to turn him, but just relaxing the muscles so that he could turn on his own). I'm not sure when he actually flipped, but the next day he was head down and engaged, and I had him a week later and had a vaginal birth.
It worked for me, it might be worth a try for you. But I'd let the massage therapist know why you're scheduling an appointment, and see if they've done it before. I have a FANTASTIC massage therapist!
Good luck!
