I am planning on breastfeeding and looking into nursing pillows... which nursing pillow did you find more useful. Or any other brand you've had that worked very well. Thanks !
Like pp said, the my breast friend is good for newborns and when your figuring out how it all works (latching, etc.). The boppy is excellent when they are a little older for breastfeeding, tummy time, playtime, etc. I prefer the boppy for its longevity.
Only have experience with the Boppy, but we've enjoyed it. I stopped using it for bfing after the first 3 months but used it for tummy time and then for supported sitting time.
The reaat friend is great for actually learning to breastfeed. The nippy wasn't good for me at first I now use it if it's handy. I day buy the bteastfriend and get a nippy on craigslist. They're easy to find and cheap.

I'm guessing this was 1HT (or phone response)... but my imature side came out... Nippy, I know its suppose to say boppy. But nippy made me giggle!
Oh and I have two boppys, got them both as gifts. I like them for the most part. Little Miss is still small 7.10, so I need to stuff some blankets under her. But the bobby is great for tummy time and sitting (well angled laying at this point)
Don't have any experience with the breastfriend sorry
At first I used the Boppy - it was pretty easy to use. Then a friend gave me her Breast Friend. It was super easy to use... made things a lot easier!
After breastfeeding for almost 7 weeks now, I'm comfortable with either one. We actually have 2 boppys which are used for feeding, tummy time or cat naps! One upstairs and one downstairs...
I used a boppy with my two older kids and liked it. It is great also for non breastfeeding uses. I gave in and bought a Brest Friend and it has been awesome. Like others said, it is particularly good with newborns. I still use it all the time. I have trouble nursing without a special pillow, though, so maybe others don't depend on it like I do.
I have both and love having both. The breast friend was great for learning and it is the one I took to the hosp. It also is great for night time because it hooks around you and LO can lay on it very easy and if she falls asleep no big deal. The boppy is great for bottle feeding or breast and tummy time. I also sit her up on it. I say get both if you can.
Hands down, go with the Boppy! I used it every day, multiple times a day for 9.5 months. (DS weaned himself in the past couple weeks from nursing, so we're done using it now.)
I was given a My Brest Friend as a handy-me-down and I hated it...so I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it.
This. I haven't tried the Brest Friend but it appears awkward & uncomfortable...not soft at all?? Go with the Boppy.
I HAVE used both, and the Breast Friend is hands down bettern for early on. The fact that it is not as soft is what makes it better. A firm surface is easier for positioning LO. With the Boppy, the baby tends to roll into the crease between the pillow and your body. And the Boppy doesn't position the baby high enough, so I always had to use other pillows under it.
I loved the MBF early on, and my LC said she always encourages moms to use it over the Boppy (she said she hates the Boppy). It definitely worked better for the cross-cradle and football holds. Now that DS is bigger and an experienced BFer, we primarily use the cradle hold, and the Boppy is fine for that.
Frankly, I was glad to have both this time around -- I used the MBF exclusively at first, and now I can keep it upstairs and the Boppy downstairs so that I always have one of them handy. The Boppy is also nice for practicing sitting later.
