I posted on here a couple weeks ago about losing my job. The company was totally unprofessional and unethical. Well the day after they fired me they rehired me... I really think only to keep me quiet from reporting them to medicaid etc. Well for financial reasons I had to go back until I could find something else. They continued to always set me up to do something wrong, however I'm not that stupid and kept to myself and avoided all things medicaid/regulation related. Anyways...I had been putting resumes out, but in this economy I thought there was no way I was going to find a job 16 week pregnant.
Yesterday I went to an interview that went great. It was definetly looking like they were going to offer me the job, but I didn't want them to until they knew I was pregnant. I know by law I don't have to disclose, but I just didn't feel right telling them after I was hired. Well neither of the interviewers bat an eye at the fact that I'm pregnant. Instead they congratulated me and shared with me how family friendly the company and position would be, the interviewer had been with the company several years and had 2 kids since she started. I've asked around and this company has a great reputation.
I'm so excited to put in my 2 weeks notices and say goodbye to the stress of working for a poorly run company. I'm just so thankful today. I had really started to worry about how the stress at my old job was impacting the baby.
Now I have to be a grown up and turn in my resignation letter. The owner terrifies me, I really wish I could just e-mail her my notice and never look back.... damn professionalism ![]()

Thanks for all the congratulations, I also found out that I am still in my 90 days of at will employment, so I won't have to give a 2 week notice at the old job!!! I am so high on cloud nine I'm not sure I'll sleep at all tonight...and of course the hubby is out of town and not here to go out and celebrate.
To nadiyahi, go for it girl! I am barely showing at all, but wore a very slimming suit. Wait until the end to annouce your pregnant and follow up with how you plan to handle maternity leave. Hold your head high though, you wouldn't want to work for a company that wouldn't want to meet the needs of a working mother anyways. I was a total basket case before my interview, and went over with a friend who does HR on how to present my pregnancy etc. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!!! Sending good thoughts your way! Hope to see a posting soon fom you about getting a new job soon.
