I am friends on facebook with a girl I went to highschool with and she is always getting professional pictures done of her daughter/family and each time she dresses her daughter up in costumes and a ton of different outfits. For halloween she was a lady bug (full suit) and I guess a princess (tutu). For Christmas she had her in a red velvet dress with a weird hat, and now for spring/easter she is wearing a full pink bunny costume and has her sitting in an easter basket and a teacup. I feel bad for the daughter. And my mom said she saw her at a baby shower (keep in mind the daughter has no hair yet) and the mom took off her hat and brushed her head and put on a headband, and then another kid came by and touched her head and the mom took the brush back out brushed it again. Will anyone else dress their kids up like this for photoshoots? It seems like she treats her daughter more like a babydoll than a child.
Sorry for the rambling...i'm done now
Re: Playing dress up (kinda long...vent)
For professional photos my kids always dress up nice- new dress and accessories or boys in nice pants and shirts/vests whatever.
My favorite are the naked baby pics in the old fashioned washtubs!
lol, I think the outfits are cute... Maybe a lil excessive but cute.
Now, the "fixing" her hair, that's a lil crazy. Her hair is going to get messed up no matter what!
I am having a boy, and he will be all boy. I won't be putting costumes on him for pictures, except Halloween, I will dress him nice.. but NO, haha.
Never say never! My nephew had costumes of pirates, peter pan, power rangers, superman, spider man (his favorite), buzz lightyear, and the list goes on, he loooooooved his costumes, and would have wanted his photo taken in them. He wore them everywhere my SIL would let him, and I admit, I kind of loved it so I fed his addiction.
