my friend irked me last night..

So our Bible study group has relocated to my house so I can still participate which I really appreciate! My friend attends too and has been really supportive through this but out of the blue she announces that another friend of hers, that goes to the same ob/gyn practice as I do, lost her baby recently b/c of a shortened cervix. It kind of shocked me that she'd tell the group this in such an abrupt way! Then, never mentioned another thing the rest of the night.  I know we have to be prepared just in case...but really, why tell me the horror stories in front of a room full of people!?!

I think there should be a post of "Stupid things people say or do when you are pregnant"

It always seems that those who are closer to us (family, close friends) are the ones to say the most insensitive things and maybe we take it in such a way because they are family or close friends and we expect more out of them... If it were someone you kind of new but not really well it may not have offended you as much because you would have blown it off as a stupid person saying a stupid thing.

I know it doesn't really help but know you are not alone. We have not told my in-laws we are expecting yet because the MIL is an idiot who says the most insensitive things and God forbid there be something wrong!!!
