2nd Trimester

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?! Twilight-Related ;0)

Don't hate--I LOVE the Twilight series. (I love the books, dislike the 1st two movies). But Eclipse looks fantASTic!!

Bummer--I'm due 6 days before Eclipse comes out! I won't get to be a creepy little fan and wear my "My Little Nudger" maternity shirt to opening night.

Sigh.

Oh well, Nathaniel is way better than Eclipse.

:0)

Re: ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?! Twilight-Related ;0)

  • I despise Twilight! (I might be the only one on this board. lol) The books and the movie were so blech to me for so, so many reasons. HOWEVER! I am kind of nervous because True Blood premieres in June... and I am hoping it is before my due date and I don't go into labor that particular Sunday. Like you said, a baby is ten times better, but I do love my True Blood :)

  • I'll admit - I was a little upset when I saw what date it's coming out on! I am due after that but I still doubt I'll be able to make it to a theater!  But I agree.. baby trumps eclipse!
  • Don't give up hope - you still may get to go before you deliver!

Last year, Harry Potter came out right before I was due and I was still able to go:)

  • Not gonna lie, I laughed my way through the Twilight movies.  I go with a Twihard girlfriend b/c no one else will go with her.  :D

I'm with you!  I really dislike Twilight... I don't get the hype!  True blood on the other hand... I am ALL OVER THAT!

I went with my sisters because they bought me a ticket. My sister and I laughed through most of it too, when we probably shouldn't have been. Yikes!

I'm so, so ready. I hate waiting so long between seasons... and waiting for the new Sookie book in May. That should tide me over until June, but still...

ANYWAY, I'm going to try to go before if possible because I'm not leaving my newborn at all to see a movie.

But *sigh* the trailer is delicious.

Yeah I'm due 7 days before.  If she goes late, I'm still going to that movie darn it! Stick out tongue  The theater is like 3 blocks from the hospital -- closer than our house!!

LOL! That's awesome. How much fun to watch TB while you're in labor. omg :) Even my sister told me 'you better not go into labor when TB premieres.'

Well I'll think of you when DH has to waddle me into the theater ;)

    :P

p.s. To the True Blood fans, I don't have TV, so I don't even really know about that show, but I doubt they can trump Edward Cullen.  /drool.

The movie did induce quite a bit of LOL's :) I would have seen New Moon just for Jacob's fursploding (which I found to be quite funny looking) but I didn't want to waste the money. Fursplosion and sparkles just doesn't get it done for me. I miss old-school, tragic, blood sucking vampires. *sigh*

But Jacob with his shirt off was worth the corniness! I just hate Kristen Stewart. I want to brush her hair because obviously she doesn't know how.

LOL.   When she was a presenter at the Oscars I wanted to scream because she was so horribly awkward.  She was touching her hair and her face and swaying around and looking down and wringing her hands.  AHHHH.

I don't get Jacob's appeal. In the books or the movie. Plus, he was underage which made me feel squicky lol. Kristen Stewart plays herself in every movie. I've seen a few of her films and she always is so stoic, brushes her hair back, bites her lip... she has no range. And she always looks high. But then, so does Robert Pattinson.

And believe me, Eric Northman trumps Edward Cullen any day of the week ;)

LOL. I know! DH even commented on how uncomfortable she looked. And he asked why she's always touching her hair in everything she does.

I KNOW! I saw her interviewed, and she was so hunched over that her back made a perfect "C". It was SO weird. I want to be like, "You're an international Twilight icon, show some respect!!" :)

I agree--she's greasy, uncomfortable, strange, and plays the SAME PARTS OVER AND OVER. Adventureland? LAME.

Yeah, Jacob's underageness is gross. But his BODY is older, so..? I don't know. I think he's a total studman! (So does DH, LOL, he's like, "Wow...he's got a great body". My man is secure enough to say that!)

Robert Pattinson--I won't even touch your comment. He's the MAN.

LOL. His face is mushy! And his nose disappears when he turns sideways. (Robert Pattinson's) But I know he appeals to a lot of women so... to each their own! Hee :) Impressive how much the actor who played Jacob worked out though to keep the part. I'm so glad they got rid of the awful wig he wore too. I even prefer Damon on Vampire Diaries over Edward (Ian Somerhalder. Yummmmmmmy).

    battle of the vamps!

Exactly--about Jacob. He worked for an entire year! ;)

I need to good that Vampire Diary guy, I don't know who you mean!

p.s. I hope no one is ignoring that fact that Twilight started this vampire phase :0)

  • My sister, who is also pregnant, is due on June 10th. She told me I don't know which to be more excited for June 10th or June 30th. LOL!

I wouldn't call them 'vampires'. They don't really resemble mythical vampires in any way other than liking blood. LOL. But yes, it certainly pushed it to the forefront of pop culture again. Although I read some of the Vampire Diaries novels (which were awful too, though the show is addicting) and there were a lot of similarities between Twilight and that book. I think with Harry Potter being done, she hit the young teen (girl) market at just the right time and it went from there.

Ian Somerhalder was on Lost for the first season (which I don't watch but I know a lot of people do.) He's pretty! And his vampire on the show is an actual vampire who likes being a vampire. None of that brooding, woe is me, I'm damned-vampireness. I love it :)
