I'm not a coffee drinker but I do like to have a cup once in a while and i've heard that you can have 1-2cups per day without it being harmfull to your baby so I wouldnt worry about it

You're totally fine with that amount. Ask those people what year in medical school they were taught that. You're allowed up to 2/3 cups actually if you wanted. I'm doing half cup of black tea...and on the weekends i may have a cup of coffee as a treat.
2 m/c's before DS, 3 m/c's post DS (Jan '12, March'12, May '12)
I have two cups a day (actually 2 cups of half caf at home and then one cup of regular when I get to my office). And sometimes I have a soda in the afternoon if I am really dragging. My doc says it's fine.
I get some comments. I just don't care. I don't know if it's b/c it's my 3rd or what but I really could care less at this point what others have to say. I usually don't even bother responding and I certainly don't worry about what they say. This isn't my first time around the block.

I switched to decaf during the first trimester, but once I got to second tri I started having my morning cup of regular again. My MW actually recommended I consume some caffeine daily because I was getting terrible headaches.
I went from a venti quad espresso every morning pre-pg to a tall half-caf once or twice a week, when I'm extra tired or have a headache. But my doc did say up to 300 mg of caf a day was just fine.
I switched to decaf right when i found out i was pregnant. I was a huge coffee drinker (could drink a whole pot to myself), so i went the decaf route because i knew i'd want more than one cup a day.
I believe decaf has 5mg of caffeine per cup as opposed to about 135mg for caffeinated coffee (i think. don't quote me, but it is a huge difference between the two).
I think decaf tastes exactly the same.
Since I'm not addicted to the caffeine anymore, i go many days without coffee now.
I am! We have a Tassimo, and I make myself a latte every morning-- if I want an afternoon coffee, I have decaf, and I drink a mini diet coke about once a week.
I drink a medium coffee from Dunkin Donuts every morning and maybe even a soda later in the day with dinner. With both, it's still under 300mg of caffeine, which is what my doctor said I could have.
I hadnt had coffee since before i even KNEW i was pregnant. i USED to drink a cup or two EVERY day and sometime in december i got extremely sick by it. Hadnt had a cup since. Last night, for the first time since Dec, i made a starbucks run. I was in Coffee-Heaven. I have never enjoyed a cup of coffee so much in my life. It was like tasting all kinds of happiness. lol. DH thought i was insane. He had to remind me i used to drink coffee often. lol. I still cant seem to get in the morning though...Makes me a little queasy.
I personally have one cup of DE-CAF a week. In the first trimester I refused any and as the pregnancy progresses I'm a bit more brave. It's only about 4oz (I measure) and sometimes I don't even drink it all b.c it does make me nervous. As far as my OB saying anything he tells me to stay away from soda b.c it can dehydrate me, but he has also told me to stay clear of a ton of juice unless it's 100% and drink lots of water, no mention of coffee. I would do whatever feels right and follow your instints in the end )
Not me I miss it like hell....throughout the whole pregnancy so far I only had some when my husband and I took a drive from NJ to FLA for a funeral and I needed it to drive, but I only had a small cup. I have been drinking decaf teas and I will have iced tea sometimes but that is it.
However Chocolate and sugar are my weakness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stay away from chocolate either. I tried but I craved it like no tomorrow. Pre-pregnancy I wasn't a chocolate eater, even on PMS. People think I'm weird, but that's okay. lol. I eat a small piece every day and sometimes a small chocolate bar. I can't give up everything!
Me.
When I started having raging headaches that wouldn't go away at 14 weeks, my doctor told me to drink one cup of coffee in the morning. It has helped.

Most people will ask "is that decaf?" trying to be funny. I just say "nope!" - even though, it IS half-caff. But, still amuses me to say that.
