I had McDonald's Last Night!

I wanted a shamrock shake since they'll be disappearing soon so I convinced DH to meet me at McDonald's after work.  I had 10pieces of McNuggets, a Big Mac snack wrap (I was curious and it was actually pretty good) and a small shamrock shake.  2 hours later, my sugar was 105!!!  Woohoo!!!

I definitely don't understand how I can have WAY more carbs than I'm "allowed" and still get a good number but I'm not complaining!  It's a nice treat every now and then.  Smile

  • I tried it once before but I walked around WalMart for an hour afterward so I wasn't sure if that's what helped keep the numbers down.  Last night, we went to BRU after dinner but we didn't walk around too much so I was shocked that I got such a good number.  I looked up the carb counts on McDonald's website today and gasped at how much a shake has but maybe you're right that all that protein balances it out!  It's nice to know that we can indulge every now and then.  Shamrock Shakes only come around once a year and I usually miss them because of what I give up for Lent.  Smile

  • I had a 10 piece nugget meal with fries and sweet tea last week, and my number was perfect afterward.  I can't tell you how excited I was! haha 
  • It's sad, but I've had Mcdonalds a few times... I always get a 10 piece and a grilled chicken salad.
