I was just telling DH the same thing last night. My sneakers are terrible... when I'm at the gym the bottom of my feet burn so bad by the time I'm done. I hate buying new sneakers though, I'd much rather buy some other type of fun shoes!
I actually don't mind getting new shoes because I go to Fleet Feet and they run all these fun little tests to make sure you have the perfect shoe. haha! i'm such a dork!
I read something recently that you should replace your sneakers every 300 miles (approx 6- 8 months)...I was shocked to see that stat- especially since I have a pair that is years old...

Yes I've heard that too! It's crazy isn't it? I think if you're just walking or doing something like a bike you could go longer with the same shoes, but I definitely notice the difference with mine since I started running a few years ago.
I just put my sneakers on for the first time in like 2 years. I've gone straight from flip flops in summer, to boots in the winter...nothing elose would fit and I didn't want to buy new ones. Man do I have crazy heel blisters!
I think I want to get a pair of those sketchers that are supposed to help tone...not sure what they are called. I hope to go on a ton of walks this summer!

I've heard good things about them, I'll have to go there... there is one right around the corner.

They can be a little pricey. I would plan to spend $100. But it's totally worth it!
I told dh that when our tax return came in, that was the one thing I was going to splurge on. Just walking around in my current pair kills me, and I also wear orthodics in them. There's no way I can do any real exercise in them.

I love Fleet Feet!
I can't wait to buy new sneakers for running this summer (of course not excited about paying for them, but oh well, worth it!)
