C/S moms and sex

Have you tried having sex yet?  We did on Sunday after getting the go ahead from my OB.  Holy *** did it hurt!  I used lube and I was still in pain.

We have gone without for longer periods before so why did it hurt so damn bad?  I was extremely surprised.

Are you breastfeeding?  That could be why.  I had a C/S and we just started having sex again and it hurt quite a bit but I stopped breastfeeding after B was about 3 weeks, we were also on pelvic rest from 30 weeks so that might have been why.  It still kind of hurts and in fact, I had to stop him the other night

We had sex for the first time this year on Saturday last weekend...  I wasn't cleared for sex until 7 weeks pp.  It was fantastic.  He did a really good job getting me "in the mood."  So, we didn't even need to use lube.

Well, having sex for the first time after having a baby and having for the first time after going without for a while are two different things. You're still slightly healing from carrying a baby around for 9 months It will get better. The first DH and I did it after DS, it was very uncomfortable but the 2nd time was much better.

Really?  I waited 6 weeks and it didn't hurt at all.
