I agree Linds, I was tearing up when he was talking about his mom and his child.
And Tiki, I agree I think he's too liberal to win So Cal, I really like him but I'm a NorCal liberal I guess. I think running for Lt Gov is more of his way to test the waters before jumping into the Gov race.
He was actually trying to get into position to run for governor, but polls for Socal and the $ wasn't there to beat out the other top contenders.
I agree that he is too much of a libral nor-cal to win the seat but I will be voting for him non the less. And for those who haven't had the pleasure of seeing him speak in person, it is amazing how much more charming he is in person! My heart swoons at just the mention of him.
i caught it ... i think he's gonna do it but he has got to realize that his 'appeal' is a largely nor cal thing. the folks in so cal & the central valley aren't crazy about him.
what he said though was true, having a kid DOES change your mindset. his tessa is a few months younger than rosie and i had to agree with him, more than one ocassion i've gone .. is this something i want MY kid to see ?!?
a friend of mine did a book on the playgrounds of SF and she was invited to the re-opening of the one of the playgrounds that was mentioned in her book .. gavin was there too .. confirmed a nagging suspicion she had about him.

Re: Anyone else hear Gavin Newsom on the radio this morning?
I heard the tail end of it.
Even on the radio he sucks me in. Hes so charismatic.
