YAY! OB just came by, I'm going home today!

Hooray- I get to go home today to my own bed! L&D is not a fun place to be when you are not there to have a baby. I am so tired of this hospital bed and being bugged every few hours to check my vitals, etc. So, after being her since Sunday morning, I get to go home today to be with my family and continue "modified bedrest" for the coming weeks. No more work for me (for at least a while) but my OB felt like it was ok to drive some, walk for up to 20 minutes at a time, and care for my boys on my own sometimes (within the confines of the "no lifting, no bending, no straining" restrictions).  YAY!  That is so much more than I thought I'd be allowed to do.

I am going to try as much as I can to focus on being on the couch or bed whenever possible.  Keeping my little guy in for another 10 weeks is MOST important (I know, I work in a NICU!).  But, I am thrilled to hear that my doctor feels we can still safely keep him maturing while I maintain a small amount of activity level at home.  I never thought I'd miss the chaos of caregiving with my two crazy and active boys but I am grateful now that I won't have to miss out on it all completely for the next few months  

Oh, and no more hospital food for a while- YES!

Hey, thanks, VT! SOOOO nice to see you back here (and those GORGEOUS girls!). I have been in the hospital for a bleed from a complete placenta previa. My little boy #3 is a trouble maker already

Yay!!!  So glad you're going home.  I did soooooo much better at home in terms of contractions.  I swear the stress of being at the hospital can make it worse sometimes.  Good luck and keep us posted.
