Im torn.. Well really for me Im not torn, but Im torn on what would be the most fun for my kiddos.
I took off for my kids spring break at the end of the month. I will have 10 days! WHOO HOOO I wasn't really planning on doing much just staying around here doing stuff. But now that has changed. My parents have a house in the mountains of NC and they said a few nights ago, lets go up for a week? Now we also found out we have use of a house on the west coast of FL that is right on the beach.
My choice is the beach, I want warmth, I am tired of the cold. And I dont want to go where snow is. My kids would love to see snow, but we saw it last year when we went there.. LOL But I do think they would have fun at either place. DH wants to go where its cold but he doesn't "like the sun" but he will deal.. LOL
Another thing too is the drive to NC is long and we would spend lots on gas.
So, where would you go?? And why?
Thanks, Liz
Re: What would you choose?
I know we've had our fair share of winter this season, but I'd vote for NC only because once summer hits, we'll have an array of opportunites to make it to the beach.
Besides, come Spring Break, I'm not sure the water will be warm enough (at least not for me) to enjoy. I don't enjoy the ocean until around Memorial Day Wkend.
But like Mel said, either choice will be fun regardless!

This exactly!! Have fun
This exactly. When I was young, my favorite vacations were always the road trips we took to the Smokey Mountains. The beach, though fun, wasn't really exciting because we could go anytime we wanted.
This!! I personally feel you can go to the beach anytime, but you can't go up to the mountains whenever you want.
I'm on the mountain team. I love NC i think its so beautiful and different from here. You can go to the beach whenever you want b/c NC is a different environment.
Either way - have fun!!!!!!
