C-Section Tomorrow!! (vent)

I have been a little MIA lately. So I found out on Monday that I was scheduled for a C/S tomorrow (Wednesday). I called my OB today and asked if I could be admitted this afternoon and put on pitocin and try to deliver vag. She called me back and said that by being put on pitocin it puts me at a higher risk of uterine rupture (cause I had a previous C/S) so she said no. She did say that if I finally went into labor naturally that she would let me try..but that is not looking like its gonna happen. UUGGHH! I really wanted a VBAC this time but its out. I did have a VBAC with my DD in 08, but she was only 1lb 6oz so that doesnt count as helping me have a "proven pelvis". OB said if she would have been larger she would think that my body could handle an induction. Ok enough rambling, Tomorrow is the big day and will be checking into Sutter Roseville at 10:30am. I am very excited to be welcoming Collin Patrick to our lives and family...finally!

Side Note= Does anyone know if Sutter Roseville has a wifi avail? I want to bring my laptop but DH's internet aircard doesnt fit with it.

I so know right where you're at right now.  I really wanted to do a VBAC with Gavin and it wasn't meant to be.  After the fact I am really thankful.  His head was 15 inches and they said it never would have fit.  His birth was amazing and he got to be right next to me right away and I held him as we went to recovery.  Just a really nice birth experience compared to the emergency c section I had with Garrison.  So I will be praying that you can really enjoy Collins birth tomorrow even if its not the VBAC you were hoping for.  Can't wait to hear the he is here!

Ugh - I'm sorry to hear that our OB wasn't more helpful.  That totally sucks.  On a positive note, yes - Roseville has wifi.  At least according to their FB fan page.

However he gets here, it will be so awesome to finally meet him!  Sorry these past few weeks have been so tough on you.  Good luck and know we are all behind you cheering you on!

GL on your c/s tomorrow. I had E via c/s at Sutter Roseville. Yes, they do have wifi, but just a note for you...you cannot plug anything into the plugs in your room. They do not allow it, not even a hair dryer. If your DH wants to use the wifi, he will have to leave the maternity ward once you have been admitted.

Best of luck to you! I think I would feel better just having a second cesarean now that I have had one, because I am scared to risk a VBAC.

I'm sorry you won't get a chance to "prove your pelvis."  I'd be super disappointed, too.  On the bright side, you get to meet your little guy today!!!!  Good luck and I look forward to seeing pics!
