My husband is a large framed 6'4 and I'm a very petite 5'2 is it possible that we can both use the same wrap/carrier? I'm really interested in babywearing (and really just getting started in my research) No one in small town KY is babywearing unless it's a bjorn and I really don't want one of those. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

A mei tai or wrap would probably be easiest for you to share. Lots of people love the moby or another stretchy wrap - great for newborns but not for long term so you'd need something for later too. Woven wraps will take you newborn to toddler - I have info on those in my siggy. A mei tai will also last you and can come with extra long straps for your DH - babyhawk is a good starter brand that has daddy friendly prints.
ERGO! I love it! I didn't use it until my baby was about 5 months. My friends who have it and used it sooner bought the infant insert and said it is great.
I used a Moby when she was a newborn. I liked it but she got too heavy very quickly. For me, the fabric stretched too much. I am 5"2 also and 115 pounds and STILL take walks with my 13 month old (24 pounds) in the ergo. We both still love it. I also have scoliosis and back pain, but feel no pain using the ergo.
A Beco is another option. But I would make sure of the return policy on it just in case. I'm 5'2" and fluffy, my husband is 6 feet, very athletic and it fits us both wonderfully.
