My baby is getting baptized March 21st (which is officially Spring) and I'm a little conflicted on what to wear. I live in Wisconsin so the weather will probably be around 30-40 degrees. I'm wondering if I should just go with the simple black pants and some random shirt or look for a cuter dress? Is is too late in the season to wear black boots with a dress of some sort? I'm really unsure because it's Spring and I don't want to look to 'WINTERY' in the photos. Of course, the husband and other son will be wearing black dress pants with some sort of shirt. I just want to be sure to blend. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Re: What are you wearing for baptism/christening?
My LO's Baptism was on February 21 in Pittsburgh and I wore a nice black Tahari dress-suit ... jacket with 3/4 sleeves with black satin trim, with a matching tank dress underneath, black hose, and black heels. Both the dress and jacket was black with a silver floral thread pattern in the fabric. Dress was knee length, empire waist, straight skirt, and the tank portion was black satin. My boobs were BUSTING out, too. I think I grew a cup size in the time it took for Mass and the Baptism ceremony.
I wanted to buy a pink suit (or dress), but decided to save my money and just pull something out of my closet. DH wore a pink tie, though. It was really sweet.
