I've been nothing but sick this entire pregnancy... a stomach virus, flu (with fever for 4 days), respiratory illness, and Im home today with another stomach virus and fever. I work at a glorified daycare and thats where its all coming from. DH supports me leaving, but I need to have another job lined up until Baby is born. Just now he approached me about concerns that all of this illness is going to cause issues for the baby. I told him the dr wasnt concerned when I told her I had the flu, they just said keep the fever down, drink tons of fluids.. She made it sound like I was taking the harsh end of everything, not Baby. Now he's got me thinking.. which leads to worrying.. just feeding into my crazy hypochondriac brain.. Anyone else have multiple illnesses in early pregnancy? Was your dr concerned?
Re: Should I be concerned?
I had the worst cold ever around 10 wks pg (out of work for 3 days, had fever (100ish deg) for 3 days). I took a z-pack for that. Recently I was exposed to H1N1 and was put on tamiflu for 10 days.
My doc hasn't been too concerned with anything, and we have caught the bad stuff before it's gotten out of hand.
