Favors for 3 year old bday party

We are going to have about 30  kids (blech), both boys and girls.  What are some less expensive goody bag/favor ideas?

(the party doesn't have a theme, it's just a fun afternoon at our house)

Thanks!

  • crayons and coloring books

  • Have a look at oriental trading co.
  • Walmart sells recorders (like the kind you learned to play in gradeschool music class) for $1.  They have a bunch of different bright colored ones.

PEZ is always a hit for my DS

  • I would get kites, with the nice weather coming soon they will love having them this summer.

  • Bubbles or a can of PlayDoh wrapped in a cute clear cellophane bag/tied with ribbon (Target has them).

Books from the dollar section wrapped in paper "decorated" by DC.

We're doing a cute cookie cutter ($1) and sugar cookie recipe card for DS#2's birthday (will be tying it to a bag with a decorated cookie in it b/c we know no one has food allergies, but you could easily skip this).

A sweet card given to each parent that says a donation was made in their child's name to XXX charity (child-focused, literacy, children's hospital, or the like).

  • We always get awesome favors at Oriental Trading.  This year we had a party at the local rec center/pool and gave out little fish and sharks that squirt water and beach balls so they could play with them in the pool plus some fish stickers and tattoos in a little nautical themed tote bag.  Super cheap and cute.

  • Get $1 playground balls and put their names on them with a paint pen
  • For that many kids, I'd do a cute cookie or else a tub of Playdoh.

  • Last summer for my 3 year old, I went to the $ store and got sand buckets, a huge book of stickers and I gave each child a page and than got some candy to toss in.

  • We did socks, animal crackers, bouncy balls, and lolipops.  Definitly check out Oriental Trading.

  • I bought snack foods wrapped in individual packages - you can get them in bulk from costco or target.  I did chips, animal cookies, a few candies, etc...in a cute decorated bag.  I think I have some photos in my blog under entertaining.
