Yes we pray before bed everynight with both kids. J is too young to know what is going on so we pray for him, DD says her own prayers. We really need to start praying before dinner and other meals.
Yes--we've always used it as one of our cues that it is bedtime, from the day we brought DD home. DD has been reciting prayers with us since she could talk. I love that part of our day--after we recite our prayers, we tell God what we are thankful for that day and we ask for additional blessings for us and others. It might be for good health if one of us is sick, safe travel, etc. I love it for two reaons--one because it is always interesting and sometimes funny to hear what is on DD's mind and two, because even when we are traveling, no matter where we are, it is the one part of the bedtime rouitne that is the most consistant and "transportable."
Yes, we pray together at dinner time & bed time. We also pray together at church every weekend.
FWIW, I grew up in a very Irish Catholic home. We went to mass EVERY weekend. I attended Catholic school for grades 1-12. Our 3 older kids are all in parochial schools currently & will continue thru 12th grade in a Catholic school.
In the car on the way to daycare, before some meals, before bed sometimes, whenever the thought/need crosses my mind.

Before meals, most mornings if I'm doing drop off which are very few; and every night. She's just now started to pray for things herself. Sunday before last I stayed home from church because I was sick, so all week during her bedtime prayers, she'd say "and mommy get better so she can go to church". It's my favorite part of our night!
