So, my Ob says ok to fly until 36 weeks if things are uncomplicated. Just got a save the date for a wedding I really should go to that falls at 34 weeks. So, for those of you 34 weeks plus, how am I going to be feeling about flying across the country at that point? How many of you had pregnancy-related things come up by that point that nixed travel?
Re: Third tri ladies, how late would you travel?
I'm not quite there yet, but I wouldn't want to get on a plane right now. I'd be pretty uncomfortable.
Plus, I have my weird clotting disorder thing, so I'm iffy about travel while pregnant anyway.
I flew at 32 weeks and thought it wasn't a big deal. The only thing that did happen was my ankles swelled up at the end of the flight...but they went down a few hours after the trip. On the way home I made sure I got up to walk once in awhile and tried to put my feet up (as much as you can on a tiny plane) here and there. It helped a bit.
I have plans to fly/travel around 30 weeks again this pregnancy.
this. I have the same clotting disorder, doing the whole bloodthinner thing, and wouldn't get on a plane right now, even for an important event like a wedding. My brother and his wife are having a little boy in April, and even if I weren't too far along to travel for his bris, I probably wouldn't go anyway.
I went to a wedding at 34 weeks when I was pg with my son. I brought my Snoogle pillow and wore comfy shoes and made it work. I was decently uncomfortable but I'm glad I went.
