OMG DS and I leave on a 16 hour road trip in less than a week.

I just realized that DS and I are suppose to drive down to Florida from Michigan next week.  I have been planning this trip for a few months and DH isn't able to come with us any more.  Some how it snuck up on me.  Does anyone have good road trip tips?  I have a portable DVD player and plan on stopping a lot.

    Snacks... snacks... snacks... try and do lunch at parks so he can get play time in!

    Also, hit up the dollar bins or the dollar stores to get lots of cheap new never seen toys!

    I did a 16 hr trip w/ DD and it was mainly at night time so that she was sleeping most of the time. I did buy a new toy with alot of lights, music, etc. You may have to do a lot of stopping. I went w/ my mom and I ended up sitting in the backseat w/ her for most of the ride. Good Luck
