We have always just had the small pools and set them on our deck, but I don't think that is going to cut it for P this summer. He absolutely LOVES the pool and I'm looking for something that is on the cheaper side, but manageable and able to last at least a few years. We also have well water (although, we may just have the water shipped in), so the filter is a must (if not more than one filter).
Just curious if anyone else had good luck with a similiar type of situation.
Re: Does anyone have a "portable" above ground pool like this?
We don't, but a gal I work with bought one from Toys R Us 2 years ago. I know she had an issue, but they replaced it right away for them.
And you know you and P and new baby can always come down and swim with us! We are looking at new apartments and a pool is a must for us! Logan loves it too much!
Thank you. We will definitely take you up on that offer. I did e-mail you asking if you had found a place yet. Ya, Preston absolutely LOVES the pool. For example: swam in an outdoor pool when we went to Florida for 45 minutes with it only being 70 degrees outside. The pool was FREEZING, but he didn't seem to mind...lol.

We bought this one last year & love it. The one you posted had a lot of bad reviews last year. We also bought the salt water filter/pump for it & turned it into a salt water pool & it is awesome. Some people said you need to buy a bigger filter but we didn't & the pool was fine all summer.
I was looking at this one too. I just didn't know about the "metal frame". Are you planning to use it this year too?
That is the one we have..thought it was plastic. we used it 2 years and it was fine...doesnt have to be as level as the blow up does. Wont get holes either, very sturdy. people areound here in MI keep them up all year for some reason, eay to set up and take down
Yes we will use it again this year. I just didn't want it up all year stressing having Makenna out there playing & the possibility of her getting in the pool.
I'm not sure of the brand, but my sister has had one similar to that for at least the last 3 years--and it could even be as long as 4-5 years. Her's has held up well. They always put a heavy duty tarp on the ground under the pool so there aren't any sharp sticks or rocks poking into the pool. She has a regular chlorine filter/pump but I would definitely look into doing salt water. My MIL just converted her inground pool to salt water and it is a LOT easier on the eyes than chlorine.
I've heard that the fire department will come fill up pools for about $200--it takes their truck less than 10 minutes to pump enough water to fill a pool like that.
