9 Second BBT??

The in-laws were visiting this weekend and needed to get something from a Medical supply store.

While DH and I were waiting for them we noticed they're (large) selection of BBTs.  One said it read in 9 seconds!  I ALMOST bought it for next cycle but seeing as DH's parents do NOT know we are TTC, we decided against it.  LOL

Mine is pretty quick I thought (a minute) but has anybody heard of a reading in 9 seconds??

Mine sometimes reads really fast (a few seconds) and sometimes a whole minute.

interesting.  Mine seems to always take a minute..sometimes even seems like longer but of couse that could be because I'm 1/2 asleep.  LOL

I haven't heard of a 9 second one before!

 Apparantly the reason they sometimes work quickly and something take longer is because it waits until your temp stays the same for some amount of time. If your temp is fluctuating it might take a bit longer to register.

mine is slow. i need to get another one for next cycle if we don't luck out this cycle.

I saw that same thign at Kroger over the weekend. I was tempted to buy one too, but mine has been very faithful, giving me the numbers I need to know what's going on, so I resisted.
