Summer Video Monitor issue

So, I've had my hand-held monitor a little over a year and suddenly the monitor screen is freaking out and flashes constantly. I wonder if this is normal and it is just getting old and I will have to get a new one or is maybe it's just broken? Anyone else experience this?

I'd call their customer service line.  They are very helpful.  I don't think it's normal.

I can't remember what brand ours is, but every once in awhile we have trouble with it.  If I go in L's room and move the antena around and change the channel it is on that has helped.  I've had to do it a few times.
