Baby shower question

How far along are you/were you when you had them?

We're trying to look at dates and stuff since our families live so far away.  My mom doesn't even know yet and wants to come down the first week in July.  If all goes well I'll be 21ish-w by then.  I feel like that's too early to have one.

I was 33ish? weeks, I don't think 21 is too early especially if that is when your mom will be there. Unless she doesn't mind making another trip.

I had mine between 25 and 26 weeks because of the whole twins/cerclage/not going to make it to 40 weeks thing.  I still felt like that was too early.  If I hadn't been so high risk I probably would have waited until after 30-32 weeks.

I will be 33 weeks for my family/friends one, not sure of the date for my work one. I didn't even begin to think about it til I was well out of 1st tri, actually I was near done with 2nd tri.

I was 29w, and that was a little early for me. But I was due Feb 5th, so we wanted to be done before Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

I'd probably feel "safer" having one later on.  Maybe she would come back down for it or would be ok just going to one up there if they throw one for me.

I will be 29 weeks at my first shower and some where after 36 weeks (wow, that seems really late) for the second.

The only reason I was even thinking about it was because we're looking at vacation time etc.

I am having mine next weekend at 27 wks. I too feel its early but I am traveling 1500 miles for it and my mom and sister have Spring Break that week after so I can stay longer and spend time with them.

My mom's been asking me about a shower too because we live 8 and 12 hrs away from both of our families. There's no way anyone will come here for a shower.. so if we want a big shower we'll have to make the trip. My moms been bugging me about this, I keep trying to tell her logistically it just might not happen. If we DO decide to drive the 12 hours, we would do it sometime before 30 wks just for comfort's sake.

I believe I was around 35 weeks for mine.

I don't think that's too early at all.  My cousin had hers around 22 weeks as the following week my aunt and uncle were moving.

If you have family out of town/state and that time would work, go for it

I think I was 32-33 weeks.  I was miserable.  I swelled that weekend and stayed that way. I'd say no later than 35 weeks.

I had my first one at 29 weeks, a little early but it was hard to plan around the holidays. My 2nd one was at 33 weeks and my 3rd at 38 weeks (work was a little slow in planning that).

I would say if your mom can make another trip 11-12 weeks later then that would be more ideal.

I had one at 25 weeks. But I liked having it early because then I knew exactly what we needed to get in time.

Mine was at 34 weeks and I wouldn't have wanted it any earlier.

The first is the 21st of March.. so I'll be... 33ish weeks and the next is the 11th of April so I'll be like 36 weeks.
