I never planned on buying new nipples for my babies, but maybe I should. As I was talking with my SILs, they both told me that they pitched their old ones and got new ones for each child. I boiled and sanitized them and there isn't any real wear on them (if there was, then yes, I'd pitch them). They are expensive, too! We use the Avent silicone nipples and they aren't getting soft or worn!
Did you replace yours? How many bottles and nipples should I have for twins?
Re: New nipples?
i got all new bottles for the twins - the bottles we used for Griffin had BPA in them (before they all came bpa free) so they were trashed and we got MAM bottles and love them.
If you are using the same bottles- i'd get new nipples for sure. they get gross in storage over time.
we had 18 bottles ... they both had 8 bottles/day early on so that was covered + an extra set for the am.
I bought new nipples for the twins.
I would have regardless, but I needed too. Like Goldie Locks, the bottles we got for DS originall weren't BPA free (since we got them before they all were BPA free). I ended up switching his when all of that hullabaloo came about, but he was already on faster flow nipples by then. So I never had slow flow and obviously needed those for the babies. But, I'll get new faster flow ones as well.
