Ick. He gets this over and over again. This is like the fifth time he's had it this year. He's on his way to the doctor's office right now. He told me he's going to ask them if staph can cause fertility issues. Fingers crossed that it doesn't...

oh, that sucks! i've never had one, but from what i hear they are the worst! hopefully it will clear up and not cause any further problems, esp. fertility!
Aww I'm sorry! That really sucks. I hope it goes away soon. Is there anything he can take to help so that he doesn't keep on getting it? Is he taking vitamins?
It will affect his fertility about as much as a cold will.
Right now I would be far more concerned about figuring out why he keeps getting them.
That's good to know.
I'm kind of pissed at him because our stupid family doctor just calls in a prescription for him every time instead of actually seeing him. I told him that after today (he's at urgent care right now), he needs to either sit down with our practioner and find some new options, or we need to find a new doctor. DH hates going to the doctor and likes that he calls in rx without being seen.

Seriously? Vitamins will not stop a bacterial infection. Hell, antibiotics don't work on some strains of staph.
Duuuh, I wasn't implying that vitamins will stop a bacterial infection. Ever since I started taking vitamins I've gotten fewer colds and infections, my doc told me sometimes the extra vitamin C can help your immune system.
You seriously thought I was recommending vitamins to treat his bacterial infection? Yikes.

I've always taken vitamins. Explain why I had two MRSA infections last year.
No, but the way you put it sounded like if he just took them he wouldn't get them any more. Not the case.
In my post I stated that my doctor said that *sometimes* it can help. It has helped me so far...I used to get a UTI about once a month. Since I started taking vitamins I haven't gotten a single one. I'm sorry it hasn't helped you.
That sucks! My sister gets staph infections sometimes. They are not fun. I hope your DH feels better soon.
