    Awwwww thank you!!!  *hugs*

I'm still in complete shock.  I was pretty sure this was just never going to happen.  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I just want to say congrats again and I can't WAIT to see what kind of brilliant siggy pic you come up with next (though this one is still awesomely appropriate!)

I'm going to hold on to this one for a little bit.  It's best picture I have of my little guys right now (and I don't know if one or both stuck!).

When does your doc do the first u/s? What an exciting day that will be!!

  • imagepiecesofflare:

mrs.m, you are waaaaay too sweet, and give me too much credit.  I've certainly had my moments lacking grace over the past 13 months, but they're all worth it to get to this moment. I just hope they stick!

Patty, I believe the first ultrasound is at 6 weeks, so that actually won't be too far off.  I *think* I'm 4 weeks and 3 days right now, but I'd have to make a ticker to check that.  :D

I can't wait...I am just so excited for you!

(Did you ever post on how you ended up with an unexpected IVF? I have seen you mention that it was unexpected but I don't know that you explained why)

  • imagepiecesofflare:

Oh!!  Yeah, I was planning an IUI cycle with injectables.  I was only on 100 units of Puregon (follitropin beta), and by 8DPO I had 17 follicles and they were talking conversion.  At 9DPO I had 38 and it was basically either convert to IVF or cancel the cycle (for safety/responsibility reasons).  When you convert to IVF rather than start an IVF cycle, it takes a lot less work and preparation so the procedural fees are cut in half.

That clinched it for us.  We couldn't have afforded a full IVF cycle, but we could definitely manage discount IVF.  :D  So we took a chance, dove in, and my retrieval was on 14DPO.  It happened REALLY fast.

    What an awesome story.

This was so meant to be.
