Re: fertility doctor please!
I wholeheartly suggest Dr Milki at Stanford.,..and actually Stanford in general.
Tips wise I thinhk you are off to a good start to get suggestions from other people...But then I would just go and meet people in person, I went completelty off of that adn not off of stats at all and I am glad I did. I looked so good on paper...high producer young healthy etc..Stanford wont turn people away no matter what their prognosis and I really liked that.
My 2nd choice was NOVA in Palo Alto smaller and started by ex-stanford docs.
My biggest question was always why choose you over another place...and Dr Milki was the only one not to bag on other clinics and that made me trust him...'
Hugs there are a lot of s who have been there (meaning IVF) on this board.

Which area are you looking in?
If in the South Bay.
If you have medical insurance stay away from FPNC in the San Jose/Palo Alto. Although they say they work with insurance, only their doc consults are covered: none of their procedures (including ultrasounds) are.
We've been working with Stanford, and I've seen Dr. Baker and Dr. Lathi. I like them both. Dr. Lathi has a much more personal bedside manner than Dr. Baker, but Dr. Baker is one of their lead physicians, oversees many of their research programs, and is really knowledgeable. I highly recommend Stanford!

Thank you all , I am writting all the names down , please keep giving me name and review .It is very helpful.
I am in the east bay to and highly suggest RSC! I didn't do IVF but did a comparison of IVF Drs in the east bay before choosing RSC. I had gotten personal recomindations for Dr C at Alta Bates as well but felt the stats from Alta Bates weren't quite as impressive. I will say that if travel weren't an issue for me and I was staying in the bay area Standford would have been at the top of my list. Just my two cents.
I went to Laurel in SF - Dr. Smikle.
I have PCOS, but they didn't automatically jump to meds. What I loved about this place was that they offer acupuncture. I actually conceived through acupuncture - no meds! Caylie from Acupuncture Kitchen comes to Laurel once a week to do the acupuncture.
I could go on and on and on about how wonderful the acupuncture is - to treat the whole person and get your body completely in alignment prior to conceiving. It has also given me such a wonderful pregnancy - hardly any nausea!
I go to RSC in San Ramon and see Dr. Hinckley, but all of the doctors there seem great and work really well together to make sure all patients are happy and well cared for. I posted a link to video in which Dr. H. is briefly featured earlier (Post titled My RE was on GMA) if you'd like to check it out.
I haven't reached the point of having to use IVF yet, but I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the clinic or doctors.
