Hello everyone!!!! I hope you are doing well! My husband and I are trying to conceive our first child. He is 30, and I am 25. I have an irregular period. On Yaz, I had a predictable period schedule that was about 27-32 days. Now, that I am back off the dreaded pill, my period is back to its crazy ways. I can go months without a period (without being pregnant).
Does anyone else have these issues? What do you do? I just bought the First Response Ovulation kit and have started taking my temp in the morning. I want to also do the cervix mucus, but I am completely unsure of how that works.
Anyone have any other ways to help us out? THANKS a Million!!!!!
Constance
P.S.----- Constance is a GREAT baby name
Re: Irregular period cause issues with ttc?
It's definitely possible that you are having cycles where you don't ovulate. Or they could just be crazy. Temping will help you make that determination as will OPKs. You can check your CM one of two ways - either externally whenever you wipe, or internally by inserting a finger or 2 into your vagina, swirling them around your cervix and seeing what comes out. I have to do it this way because I rarely get anything externally
You're off to a good start. Good luck!
Welcome and GL!
I'd recommend signing up for Fertility Friend through one of our tickers and taking the tutorials there. You can chart your cycles and keep track of CM, CP, BBT, etc. using the website. I'd also read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Check it out at your library, and if you like it, buy it--it's a great reference to have around.
FertilityFriend.com has a great tutorial.
Is that really your full name in your signature? I'd take it out, because the internet has some real creepsters.
I had the same problem when I got off bcp....I would go almost 90 days without AF. I ended up scheduling an appointment with my gyno and he ran some tests and discovered that I have PCOS. He prescribed metformin and recommended that I start taking a PNV. Since starting the metformin, my cycle has become more regular. Maybe you should talk with your doctor.
