Pregnant after a Loss

** abartane **

So to catch me up.  Up 9 lbs.  Very swollen.  Are you doing a 24 hour urine??

Re: ** abartane **

  • Hi, Lady.. thanks for checking in...

At my peri appointment on Tueday my bp started at 149/119.  It went down to 132/89 by the time I left.  They told me to watch it.

I took it easy at work yesterday then last night my feet got so swollen my toes turned purple...

today they started swelling at work so I went by my gp.  My bp was fine, but as my legs were SOOO swollen she did a urine test.

I had a moderate amount of protein and some leukocytes as well.  Her opinion was that I have either the beginnin of PreE or an infection of some sort coming on.

The weird things are that I gained a ton of weight in 2 days (9lb) and I haven't peed yet today. (which makes me think the UTI is not likely).

my peri said it wasn't emergent so I should rest a lot and he would see me on Tuesday.

My gp said she knows he is likely to take Harper if it is either of the options and my protein or leukocytes increase.... however H. weighs and estimated 6.1 lbs at this weeks u/s and he wont do much of anything until they safely know she is over 6... so over 7 on the u/s because of the allowed variation in size....

    Sorry this was so long....

  • Hi there,

I'm sorry to butt into your post but I saw your symptoms about pre-e and just wanted to mention something. Large amounts of weight gain in small time periods are also a sign of pre-e. This doesn't mean you have it nor am I trying to scare you. Your doctors are doing the right thing by monitoring the situation. Also you might want to keep track of movement and kick counts.

I'm an oldie from the PL board and after having sudden, severe pre-e myself I became aware of pre-e signs only after having it. Sending good thoughts your way, I hope the swelling goes away.
