If so, what is easy for him to do? I have to go out of town and I can pick out outfits for a few days but I can't very well do their hair in advance. He's tried barrettes & ponytails before but he can't ever seem to get them in tight. I don't want them going to school & dance looking like big hairballs. Any ideas?
Re: Can your dh do your dd's hair?
Would it hurt anything to just have him brush it and throw on a headband? Or just leave it down?
DH would never be able to do it, but DD loves her hair short and pulls things out of it anyway, so in our house it's a moot point.
My oldest has major cowlicks, so I normally either flat iron it if she bathes the night before or blow-dry if she showers in the morning. If he could handle blow-drying it would be ok down, but I'm not sure he would get how to brush it smooth. I wouldn't even suggest the flat ironing!
DH usually puts a bow in her hair. Or a ponytail really tight.
She looks like a hot mess after being with daddy!
I don't think dh can loop a rubberband more than once so his ponytails slide out after about a minute.

No, he never does it. He pretends he can't. He's not that clumsy with his hands, he does finish carpentry.
The style she usually wears is one a DH shoudl be able to handle. Usually it is in sort of a half-up half down but over to the side. If it is already like that he would just have to brush it (which mine won't) and redo the elastic part.
