I hate that I'm scared to tell people

I should be feeling more confident about sharing the news, and we have started to this week a bit, but I find myself becoming more and more anxious about it. What if something unexpected happens? I'd hate to have to take it all back - AGAIN - and so I think I might wait a little longer.  I hate having a m/c history.

It's totally understandable. Have you told anyone? You might just want to let some family or a close friend or two in, just to have that support..then wait until you feel totally comfortable to tell the masses. Either way, no one can fault you...

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, we've told family and some close friends.  But there are other friends that I just can't seem to tell.  Fairly close ones.  I just wish I could lose the nerves about it!

Have you had or are you going to have an NT scan? maybe tell after that gets the all clear?

Yes! Had it last Friday, and everything went well!  I know, I'm being a nervous wreck for no reason.  I just have read so many peoples' stories about losses in the 2nd trimester that I'm scared to tell!

i feel the same way.  but, i want to tell our families and my best friend, b/c i am excited and want to enjoy this pg.  so i will tell them after we have our first scan next friday.  i'll wait to tell everyone else after our nt.  that's when we found out we lost the baby last time, so i won't feel happy until after it's ok.  if everything is looking good for you, start telling some people, you'll feel better.

You have to do what makes you most comfortable.  If that means waiting a bit longer to tell then wait.  I am thinking such happy thoughts for you and babyVA!

I'm a FH and I've already told people not a TON, but more than I should have.

Its totally understandable. We waited until we were completely out of the 1st tri before we told our friends and even then we had some uneasiness about that. The fear and worry haven't gone away completely yet for me.  Just remember -today you are pregnant and you love your baby

charting started as a huge bust b/c I was not smart enough for my thermometer. now I'm in the 2ww, but I'm pretty sure its a bust. Oh well.

Are you guys team green? Or planning to find out?

Haha.  I just made that up! I read a while back that your therm. seemed dumb/broken.  Did you get a new one?  I have the one from Target and I like it. I'm hoping this time around is not a bust for you - fingers crossed...  How long are your cycles?  Mine were always so long - it was torture.  We are trying to remain strong on Team Green - ack!

I understand. It is hard because you are excited but scared at the same time. We told our parents first and about 2 friends the day we got out BFP. Then about a week or two later we told a few more close friends. Once we passed the 1st trimester that is when we announced it to extended family. It is hard but it gets a bit easier as time goes by.

I didn't get a new one, I just had to learn how to work the memory Though in my defense it wasn't on the instructions-duh CVS!

My cycles are lengthening 28-29-29-29-30. Its awesome.  I'm thinking about trying acupuncture next month, but its OOP so I have to talk to the hubs. He's of the "stay calm and it will happen" mind set-which makes me want to throttle him.
