Is it possible to teach DH commone sense?

Sometimes the man drives me INSANE!  Often times he has no ability to make logical choices that are very simple or, how to prioritize things when we are in a hurry, etc.

Is there anyway to teach this?

I wish! MH is very intelligent, but when it comes to common sense....OMG. He drives me BSC. Things that seem so logical and simple to me are completely oblivious to him.

Oh, yeah, DH is super smart, he's a Professional Engineer.  But give him a common sense task at home... BIG HUGE FAIL!

Nope.  I give directions, lots of them and lists on the weekend.  He can manage all the bigger things in our lives- bills, finances, work, insurance...but he doesn't seem to know that the children need shoes on if we are leaving the house.  I must tell him, or he will not initiate putting on. It is strange.

I think this is a man thing.  There is man logic, and woman logic...he will never see things your way.  Sorta like the way you can get everything for dinner magically ready at (or around) the same time, but for some reason he has to cook every dish one thing at a time, so everything is cold.  Oh, wait...you were asking about your DH.

H is soooo much more sensible than I am but when it comes to organizing the family/household, it really seems that gene is on the missing arm of the Y chromosome.

Not at all.  I am always amazed that my DH can multi task at work and get a done of things done but at home he can't wash the dishes and hold a conversation.  I always laugh at how he stops doing one thing to do another or answer a question.  He is home with my younger DD today, who has a fever, and I know he got nothing else done other than while she was napping.
