Baby Showers

Thank you wording... Is this weird?

Okay, started to get some baby shower gifts mailed to me (Yeah!) shower is this coming weekend, but wanted to get a jump on the thank you's

My question is: Is it weird to thank guests from me, dh and the baby? Example:

Dear Aunt Mildred,

Thank you so much for your lovely gift. ect..ect..ect...

With Love,

Lisa, Mike and Schuyler

Also, since DH will not be attending the shower, should I include his name on the thank you's? My guess is yes, but just wondering

Re: Thank you wording... Is this weird?

  • I always included a line including the baby in the thank you. For example, I can not wait to see Dillon wearing this outfit, he will be adorable in it. But I signed it all from H and myself (we were both included in the shower)
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • I sign it from all three. Depending on who I am writing the thank you card to I write the dogs names too.

  • I sign from either me and DH, or from me, DH and baby -- depending on who the thank you is going to and what I wrote in the text.

  • The shower was hosted for you as the guest of honor, so sign the thank you notes from yourself.  If your DH had been included as a guest of honor, you could have signed from both of you.

  • Personally, I have a thing against receiving cards with the baby's actual name on it.  I prefer to see "baby" but that's just me.
