I'm pretty sure someone is not going to survive today at my house

- MH is working from home b/c he's got a cold and feels sick.

- I have taken a dose of zofran already but it's not helping yet.

- Jackson is in RARE form and will not leave the dog alone.

Every time Jackson hugs the dog she does her annoyed "grrrr" (not a warning growl - it almost sounds like a pissed off purr) at him, and I say "LEAVE HER ALONE or TIME OUT."  He leaves her alone, but goes back to it 10 minutes later.  Rinse, Repeat, I'm DONE.  And it's 9:30.

The worst part is that our dog could go away from him, but she's stubborn as f*ck and has to be by me all.day.long., so obviously she is exposed to Jackson all.day.long.  Also, she's a crochety old b*tch anyway.

My advice?  NEVER have a fluffy little dog w/ kids.  The temptation for the kid is too much - they look like cuddly stuffed animals, and are typically not fond of children.  I'd like to put both of them in crates and take a nap.

  • Sounds like you're in for a challenging day. I hope you do get to take a nap at some point.

  • Ugh, that sounds like that is a recipe for no fun.  Can you and Jackson get out at all today (not that you are feeling really fab).  Hoping that the zofran kicks in, m/s is the worst!
  • We might have to take a walk to the park even though it's cold outside -we can bundle up, right?  :)

I was really hoping my m/s was ending b/c I had a really good day yesterday (no meds needed!), but boo hoo.

  • I am so with you.  I've been up since 5 with Maren and her poo.  So much fun scraping more diapers at 5am for stool collection.

And we have a shitton (no pun intended) of errands to run. Boo.

  • I'd go with the crate idea.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  • I find the days that my DH works from home are the worst.  I love having him around, but it always seems those are the days the kids act out when they need to be quieter so just not worth it. (I can't tell him that though!)  Hope your day gets better!
