4 day vacation... where would you go in the southern states?

    Ok, let me check my Southern Living - they usually have good 4 day vacay ideas.  I know it often suggests Charleston, SC, but I'm guessing that's kind of far for 4 days for you.

    Charleston was my first choice!! I want to be kid free for that vacation!

     

    We do Asheville every year so that is kind of not fun.

    the beach.. Orange Beach would be my first choice

    Tennessee has a new Wilderness Lodge in Gatlinburg that would be a blast for the kids.

    I was going to suggest Savannah, too.

    Gulf Shores, AL

    SL recs some lake in Alabama - Lake Guntersville?  That could be fun.

    Of course, Knoxville has Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and me.  ;)

    Well, when you have kids, it's never really a vacation.  It's just going somewhere different for awhile.  This applies even if you don't take them with you. Smile

    I love Savannah!  My mom lived an hour south of there for a year and I went down a few times and it was such a nice city!
