finger sucking and nursing kid- ?'s

L is a finger sucker to self-soothe.  Only problem is that when he's getting tired and hungry he tries to nurse and suck on his fingers at the same time- doesn't make for an easy session!  I'm sure this has happened to others, what can I do?

I currently just keep removing his hands from his mouth/my breast, but will he get it eventually or will it be a continuous thing?  I feel like I spend over half our nursing sessions battling him and he gets frustrated when he breaks the latch.

I pin his arm and/or swaddle.  I;m sure that will become more and more interesting

C was a finger sucker and did the same thing.  I don't have any great advice, I did the same thing as you, just kept taking his hands out of his mouth.  He did eventually outgrow it, so hopefully yours will too.

DD does that too, but usually  not until she is not really hungry anymore and just sucking for comfort. I try to take them out and give her back the boob but she usually doesn't want it at that point. 

She likes to hold something too, so I give her the corner of a blanket to hold. That way her hand is occupied too. She pulls it up over her face and rubs it on her cheek.
