I know the smart thing is to wait until past your normal LP length, but I know many of us like to POAS early... myself included if the chart is looking good. I'm thinking I'll cave on 11 or 12 dpo if my temps stay up. How soon do you begin to POAS? Do you ever do an OPK instead of a HPT, especially if you have internet cheapies? I only buy super cheap OPKs on the net, but haven't bought any internet HPTs. However, I have a $1 store HPT in the cabinet, but wasting a $1 seems like much more more than wasting 25 cents. What about you?

SAIF/PAIF Welcome
Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
I thought the same thing.
Glad I'm not the only one who's confused, lol.
OK, good. I thought I must be really missing something. If I am, at least I'm not alone.
OPKs can supposedly turn positive when you are pregnant. Some use them in lieu of a HPT if they have plenty of OPKs but no HPTs, but it is not all that reliable.

If you only have OPKs in the house and they are super cheap, you may give it a try instead of running out to buy a HPT... may or may not be the best idea, just wondering if anyone has done it.

I just read that and I think I can splurge $1 on HPTs to avoid confusion about results.
This cycle I decided to test every day starting at 7DPO with FRER. Because they are the most sensitive I've seen (the $ store ones took like 3 weeks to be positive last time I got pregnant, with DD).
Yes, it is a HUGE lot of money to be spent on something you pee on, but for me, it's what I wanted to do.
I did it when I got pregnant with DD, not to find out if I was pregnant, but more to see if what peeonastick.com said was true. It was. FOR SURE.
This is my OPK at 19DPO with my DD.
It was the darkest, most positive OPK I'd ever seen.
