I shipped a book to Philly 2 weeks ago.

LOL no... I didn't type "What on earth IS usps?"  I  was exclaiming "What on earth!" because if you look at the tracking information for the package I shipped to Philly, it went to IA and MN for some reason.

I'm not surprised. Didn't they loose a couple hundred million bucks last quarter?

Well, you probably sent it media mail/parcel post since it was a book.  We consolidated some processing centers and Des Moines is now one of them.  So, that is why it went there most likely.  When you send something media mail or parcel post, it takes longer..which is why it is cheaper.  Hope that makes sense or helps you understand it a little!  Go Priority next time

I understand taking longer but I'm like an hour from Philly LOL!  It traveled to 3 states just to go an hour from here.
