I'm going to breastfeed and when I go back to work after three months I'll pump. I've registered for three types of bottles but don't know how many I'll actually need. I have 9 so far. Will I need more? Should I just wait to see if baby likes these three and buy more of what she likes? I just don't want to have more than I need.
Re: how many bottles?
I'd wait to see what DC likes, although DS never much cared what form his food came in, as long as he got it.
IMO, when you figure out how many feedings (bottles) DC will have away from you per day, take that number and double it, and get that number of bottles. That way you never are in a position where you are stuck doing dishes/running the dishwasher each night to get clean bottles for the next morning. It might sound like nothing now but the 10 minutes of washing/drying or loading/unloading the dishwasher it saves you every other night is worth the cost.

I am going to get about 5 of the Dr. Browns and I already have a couple Avent bottles that were gifts. So I figure I will have about 10. I am going to start little one on Dr. Browns and then once she gets older I will probably switch to avent because I don't want to have to always clean those little pieces with Dr. Browns.
I plan on nursing but I am also going to pump because I want DH to be able to help with some of the night time feedings.
