How accurate was your 17 week gender prediction?

I went to the Dr. today for what I thought was just the quad screen and ended up having an ultrasound where the Dr. told us we're having a girl, which is what DH and I wanted!!

LO had her legs wide open and there was no sign of boy parts. The Dr. said he was 80% sure it was a girl... anyone else had an "80% sure" it was a girl and then it ended up being a boy? I'm just nervous because at 17 weeks the testes haven't completed descended.

 Any feedback would be great

I have 75% chance of a girl at 16 weeks. Went for a 17 week 3-D...Definitely a girl!!

Yeah....pretty sure that's not what OP meant. Sounds like she means was it CONFIRMED later than 17 weeks, and in your case so far, it has not. They don't really give 100% til 20 weeks.

We had a gender u/s just before 16 weeks with both, and they were clear as day. It never changed.

Even then it could be wrong. I know a few people who have had 100% gender and it comes out the opposite.

My U/S at 17 wks said 80% girl. and even yesterday at the hospital he said, yup looks like a girl, but save your receipts just to be safe, (21wks)

It can never be guaranteed with girls. the wee wee could be hiding...

I'm planning all the way for a girl.. just cuz in our u/s it was pretty detailed... not to sound gross, but you could see the lips of her vagina.

They have to say 80% to protect themselves.

With my first baby  - I was 17w4d when they were 100% sure he was a boy . .. they were right!

We're in the smaller percentage of got-it-wrongs.  16 and 17 week said boy, 20 week was obviously girl.
