It's a Boy!!

Hi everyone! I didn't make it to my EDD. I've checked into FB (phone apps are great!) but it's been hard for me to get online to give you an update. Baby Dominic joined our family on Feb 25th @ 8:47pm. Weighing 7lbs4oz and 20 inches long.

I was already dilated to 5cm and ctx were 10 minutes apart at my appointment in the morning. For the 6th time in 2 weeks, my doc decided to send me to the hospital for additional testing because of my rising blood pressure (it would go down with a increase in my med dosage after faborable lab results and a few hours hooked to monitors) and they were about to send me home again. But, as we were filling out discharge paperwork and waiting for the doc release me, baby's heartrate took a nosedive from 150s down to 60ish and the on-call doc came back in and said "throw that paperwork away! You're staying!" She did a check and I was at 7cm so she decided to break my water. From there my contractions increased in frquency from every 5 mins to back to back very quickly. Less than 20 minutes after breaking my water and 2 pushes later baby was out!

I'm still a little sore but we're all doing great. Gabe and Grace love their little brother to pieces and are always wanting to smother him with love. It's tough juggling the 3, but I love it! Eventually I'll get around to uploding some pics to the computer but for now here is the cell phone pic. He is a few minutes old...
